ANTHRAX's SCOTT IAN Reacts To JOHN ENTWISTLE's Death

ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian has posted the following message in response to the news of the recent passing of THE WHO bassist John Entwistle:

"I was completely shocked today when Lonn Friend called to tell me that The Ox, John Entwistle had died in Vegas. Absolutely stunned. The man was a giant among men. The most influential bass player of our time. His stoic demeanor the antithesis of Moon's insanity, Townshend's mania, and Daltrey's swagger. I was going to see these living legends this weekend in Los Angeles along with hundreds of thousands of others on their upcoming tour. I'm glad I got to see him in my lifetime. His legacy will live eternally, holding down the bottom of arguably the greatest rock band ever. Listening to 'Boris' and drinking a Guinness, Scott"
